Light poles have been catching my eye for about a year. They are all objects of large scale manufacturing, but if you start looking at them, they are all unique. They also happen to be fun to draw and carve. For that matter, the birds like to sit on them too.

Here are a few I have been carving into pendants lately.

I hope you can stop by this weekend at Somerville Open Studios.

We will have some friends old (Gideon Weisz) and new (welcome MaKaZoe) showing with us this year in our space. We are number 36 on the map, 257 Highland Ave.

Happy Spring! Come to Somerville Open Studios!
May 3rd and 4th, 2014
Saturday and Sunday, noon-6pm

We know it is projected to be 40 and raining this week but compared to 8 degrees, it really is warm!  Besides, it will be nothing but sunshine and light (and Art of course) inside our Studio.  Come celebrate this modest change in temperature (and Art). Make it an excuse to get outside, see your friends and neighbors (and Art). Somerville Open Studios has lots happening, take a minute to look at the website.
